EasyHTML
Here's an easy-to-use, feature-packed free Web page editor
from Finland. EasyHTML offers many helpful options such as the
ability to edit multiple pages simultaneously. Also features
such goodies as floating toolbars, a built-in browser and
JavaScripts that you can easily add to your page. It's also
one of the few HTML editors compatible with Microsoft's
IntelliMouse. (For Windows). Available
in English and Finnish versions.
HTML Compress
Here's a handy freeware Webmaster's tool that lets you easily
shrink the size of your Web pages, by optimizing your HTML
code. HTML Compress eliminates unneeded characters. As a
result, your pages load faster (and it also makes it more
difficult for would-be pirates to make use of your code).

RipCast
This impressive freeware "streaming audio ripper" program
offers one of the best ways we know of to build your MP3
collection quickly. RipCast lets you save streaming broadcasts
as MP3 files and helps you organize your MP3s with an
easy-to-use interface. Note: a broadband Net connection is
recommended, but not required. (For
Windows).
Nullsoft
Winamp
The Web's most popular MP3 sound file player, Winamp, is now
freeware (previously, it required a registration fee). Winamp
is a flexible, high-fidelity sound file player that supports
MP3, CD, Audiosoft, MOD, WAV and other formats. There are
endless ways to customize this player via skins (which change
the appearance of the interface), as well as audio effect
plugins of various sorts. (For Windows).
EasyZip
A powerful, easy-to-use freeware zip and unzip utility,
EasyZip offers a good interface and all the bells and whistles
of the most popular commercial archive programs. This program
features integration with Windows (including extracting
archives and zipping files directly from Windows Explorer);
checking for viruses in archive; drag and drop; and more.

Here's an easy-to-use freeware utility that lets you clean up
various hard drive clutter on your PC with one click. This
program cleans temporary Internet files, cookies, Internet
history, your system temporary folder and much more. (Recent
versions of Windows have a similar utility built in, but Disk
Cleaner is faster and can be set to run at startup).

FTP
Commander
A basic, easy-to-use freeware FTP client. Offers all the
functions of the Web's most popular FTP client,
WS_FTP, except that this is unconditionally free. You can
delete, rename and copy files, as well as create and delete
directories on the FTP server. FTP

FTP Navigator, (which is shareware).
SmartFTP
A solid freeware FTP client, SmartFTP offers loads of handy
features, including a Windows Explorer-like interface, drag &

MovieTrack
A must for movie buffs, this handy freeware database program
helps you organize and keep track of your film collection. The
program offers many features, including a client/server scheme
in which you can exchange movie lists with your friends.

This freeware program is a must-have gag for pranksters. Error95

This site offers a free online service that lets you scan your

Eudora
Our favorite free E-mail program.
Eudora offers loads of features, such as the ability to filter
your mail and efficiently organize it into folders; multiple
signatures; drag & drop capabilities; nicknames and more. We
also love its sleek and elegant interface. If you use Eudora,
then you need to check out
eMailman,
which offers a big selection of utilities, tools and plug-ins
for getting the most out of Eudora. The only quibble we have
with Eudora is its cumbersome search function, which makes it
time-consuming to find just the E-mail you're hunting for.

Eudora's latest version, 7, is a fully featured E-mail client,
which is available for free in "sponsored" mode (a version
that displays small ads). This powerful new version offers
such handy features as automatic name completion, which lets

FreeJavaChat.com
Here, you can get a free, customized chat room for your Web
site. FreeJavaChat.com offers Java-based chat rooms that
include a feature-rich IRC-compliant Web interface. A big plus
for this service is that it displays no ads
